A little about my-self I am a french-marocan handpoker and acupuncturist. Puncturing and inking is for me a ritual and i work mainly with people intents or needs. In traditional Chinese medicine the skin is the door to the inside and i pay much attention to the body parts where the tattoo will be according to meridians and organs. I take as much time as possible to talk with the person to find out what is needed and where. Most of my tattoos are small and often in «hidden » spots as they are first for the person to feel and not particularly to attract outsider’s gaze. Both my parents where artists. In addition to Chinese medecine my influences are rooted in the contemporary art vision in wich i grew up and the traditional Amazigh tattoo tradition from my ancestors. Somehow life made it so that i spend most of my time with indigenous people. My way to tattoo is greatly influenced by this way of life that looks at life with respect for nature spirits and ancestors. While tattooing i try to invite the person to connect with this aspect of life. I have chosen the handpoke technique as a way to honor my ancestors and to keep alive ancient spiritual traditi sons. When not traveling I am based in paris where i share my time between acupuncture and tattooing in a handpoke studio we opened with friends. All The benefits of the tattoo studio goes to a social project that helps homeless people and refugees as we believe in this periode of time we specially needs to support each others.
